After success of Radio Girmit, we were in search for ideas to implement the next one. We were discussing one weekend and we thought of making a site simillar to some existing movie sites etc.
But then madhu said why don’t we do a “Kannada Youtube”. That was nice. We discussed a lot and finally came to a conclusion. The KISS principle comes into action again, we strictly thought of making it perfectly light weight with neat web safe colours and Yes.. without popup ads of course !
The next step was to make a survey of existing sites and how good they are and what are their drawbacks. Taking into account all those we finally started off for the “Kannada” “Youtube”.
We got a template exactly as we wanted and madhu started off with it and it tooks almost 3 weeks to set everything right and look as we had thought.
Contributions :
- All the design and implementation as per our requirement was done by madhu. ( cyber assisted a little ).
- Logo by cyber ( with color sense of manoj ).
- Content addition by madhu & cyber
Note: This idea was kept a secret and we didn’t even tell it to our Radio Girmit Team members ! 
We hope to make Video Girmit a perfect destination for all kannada music and video lovers.

I stumbled upon this website by accident. I don’t know when you guys started this. It is an excellent site. We always felt that the other South Indians had so many of such websites, except the Kannadigas. Inspite of Bengluru being the other Silicon Valley, Kannadigas have not made enough effort to have websites/portals catering to diverse interests of Karnataka. In comparison to the other South Indian languages, our presence on the web is really abyssmal. I am technologically challenged , so can’t contribute much. But Kannada should have a much greater presence on the web because of the IT concentration in Bengaluru, Mysuru and with so many IT pros being churned out every year in Karnataka.
Hope others will follow your trend ; or you could widen your coverage to include things like literature and history. Good Luck

I got to know about this web site from 1 of my friends..check madida mele tumba ishta aaytu.
But i got disgusted when i saw that I had to download some veoh player to watch most of the movies..If we require to download that player why the hell shoud we visit your site.We can staright away go there and get all the movies..Why should I come here just to get the index..
It would have been really great if you could have got all the movies directly on your site..
Right now,I feel your site is not serving the purpose it is suposed to.
Please do something about getting the movies onto your site..

Its just awesome!!! I got to know about this site through another kannada web portal Shreegandha.org. To be frank this site is better than shreegandha.org. At the same time I must congratulate Shreegandha.org who is the first of its kind. But u guys are right there one step ahead with very simple, clean and easy to use website without making it complex to browse through..!!!!!
And there are nice collection of movies, which I admire the most. I was searching for a website dedicated for kannada movies all these years and finally its here. Kudos to u guys for excellent quality site!!!!
